Deep Tissue?

The most common question I have answered from potential clients is, " Do you do deep tissue?" I have been a therapist for over 15 years and most people are looking for deep work. I have many hours of continuing education in orthopedic and medical massage techniques that are used to treat pain and range of motion issues. My training includes trigger point therapy, headache relief, resistance stretching, myofascial release, and yes...deep tissue!

After 15 years of working with my hands, it was time to make a change. I discovered Barefoot Massage and fell in love with it! if you are looking for deep tissue, then barefoot massage is for you! I have taken my experience in orthopedic massage, and combined it with the knowledge I have in Fijian and Ashiatsu Massage. Using a variation of techniques makes for an amazing experience that will leave you feeling more relaxed with an increase of mobility.

What is Barefoot Massage?

Barefoot massage is a deep tissue compression massage through the use of the therapist's feet. This style is a modern approach to treat chronic pain and limited range of motion. Barefoot Massage has many styles from all over the world including Fijian, Shiatsu, Lomilomi, Sarga, and Thai. Many therapists are doing some form of barefoot bodywork because it is known to be more effective than using hands, thumbs and elbows. Barefoot massage is the deepest of deep tissue massages. The benefits of barefoot massage are that it reduces chronic pain with longer lasting results. It improves flexibility and range of motion, and there is less residual pain with barefoot massage.
